Scholastic, publisher of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, is posting 7 Deathly Hallows questions on their site as part of their publicity campaign. They have just recently posted the second question and are expected to post a new one every two weeks until a few weeks before the release on July 21.
Here are the questions so far:
1. Who will live, who will die?
Harry Potter
Lord Voldemort
Snape
Ginny
Ron
Hermione
Neville
Hagrid
Draco Malfoy
Someone Else/Other
2. Is Snape good or evil?
Good and still a spy for the Order of the Phoenix
Good but in too deep with Voldemort
Evil and has always been a spy for Voldemort
Evil but only because Voldemort is back
We will be posting the questions as they come. In the meantime, check out these bookmarks; there should be one for every question. (The files are in PDF format and are about 1Mb each.)

(1) Good news for Potter fans. First, released late last month was the front and back cover art by Mary GrandPré for the American edition of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. View the full cover art here. Beautiful, isn’t it?
(2) Here’s another piece of good news. The price of the seventh book has gone down. We’re not saying anything yet this time until we’re absolutely sure, but we are sure that you will be happy with the new pricing scheme. We are, still, of course, accepting reservations.
(3) And the final bit of good news. Just like the last time, if you live or work in our neighborhood — we mean Eastwood City, Libis, Bagumbayan, Loyola, Acropolis, White Plains, Valle Verde, Greenmeadows, St. Ignatius, Blue Ridge, Kapitolyo, etc. – you can have your book delivered to you for free by Owl Post on July 21, hopefully while you’re having breakfast, but definitely before you sit down to lunch. You’ll have to reserve the book to avail of this offer.

From her diary, J. K. Rowling talks about ending the Harry Potter series with the upcoming 7th book. Just like many Harry Potter fans, the author feels a mixture of sadness and joy.
“Even while I’m mourning, though, I feel an incredible sense of achievement. I can hardly believe that I’ve finally written the ending I’ve been planning for so many years. I’ve never felt such a mixture of extreme emotions in my life, never dreamed I could feel simultaneously heartbroken and euphoric,” she writes.
“I’m almost scared to admit this, but one thing has stopped me collapsing in a puddle of misery on the floor. While each of the previous Potter books has strong claims on my affections, ‘Deathly Hallows’ is my favorite, and that is the most wonderful way to finish the series.”

At Read or Die last weekend we asked Harry Potter fans the following questions:
1. J. K. Rowling will never say if Professor Snape is evil or not. Snape makes like difficult for Harry and bears a grudge against Harry’s father. Yet Albus Dumbledore said in the 5th book that he trusts Snape. What do you think? Is he evil or not? Why?
2. J. K. Rowling has said that the last word of the last novel is “scar.” Give us your best guess. What do you think that last sentence looks like?
3. She has also said that two characters will die in the last book. Who do you think these characters are?
We got a good number of interesting answer which we are posting below. Most of you seem to think Professor Snape will redeem himself in the end. Also, that Harry’s scar will somehow fade or disappear at the end of the series. Most popular to die in the seventh book are Harry and Voldemort. Harry? Really?!? J. K. Rowling did say she understands why an author might want to kill a character from the point of view of not allowing others to continue writing after the original author is dead.
If you want to tell us what you think, fill up our contact form and we’ll post your answers here.

Not evil. Snape had to do it, he had an unbreakable vow with Narcissa to protect Draco. He’s fighting for the light.
And as he smiled, his forehead shimmered with his fading scar.
Harry and quite probably Neville. Poor kids.

I think he’s good because maybe Albus meant “Please kill me” when he said his last words to Snape and since everyone was mad at him for killing Albus, which I think was his plan, he had to run for it and join Voldemort to continue pretending that he supports him.
Maybe something about everything Harry experienced started with a scar.
Hermione & Ron, so Harry will get really mad & have enough anger to kill Voldemort.
Lain
Not. But then the depth of characters in HP can’t be easily categorized as good or evil. I guess the true depth of Snape’s character may be explained when I get to know what Dumbledore meant when he said in Book 6: “Please, Severus.” That “please” is the ultimate piece of the puzzle.
At one time or another, people thought of it as either a blessing or a curse but to Harry, after 17 years, the only thing he could finally appreciate was the disappearance of his scar.
Hagrid
Wormtail
not evil
…and then he looked at this scar.
Malfoy
Voldemort
Alilea R.
Not. I don’t think Dumbledore’s wrong in trusting Snape. He’s good with trusting the right people.
The defeat of Lord Voldy finally healed his scar.
Ron & Hagrid =(
Snape has repressed homosexual urges for Harry’s dad. Since he can’t get the dad he goes for the son.
“Harry, I like touching your scar.”
Harry and Ron, in each other’s arms.

NOT EVIL!
AND HARRY LIVED Happily ever after w/ his scar.
Snape (NO!)
LUCIUS MALFOY
Keziah T.
not evil, Dumbledore might have a plan.
the last Horcrux was Harry and it’s symbol was the scar.
Harry & Voldemort.
PJ P.
he is NEITHER good nor evil. he has a reason/motivation for every single action (as was shown in all 6 prev. books). (i want him to survive.)
Harry looked back and knew that after all he would still have that scar.
Remus, one Gryff. Student (Dean or Seamus)
Jess O.
Everyone is both good & evil. I think it’s only natural that Snape hates both Harry & his father (James). James made life hell for him & everytime he looks at Harry’s face, he’s reminded of James.
…THE SCAR!
Snape -> he’s becoe 1 of the most complex/angsty char.
Voldy -> Harry’s been trying to get rid of him for 6 books already.
It was not really a scar
Harry Potter & Snape

not evil
The scar will fade
Harry
Dumbledore
Chai R.
No! He was commanded by Dumbledore to ensure his position as spy.
It might pertain to the disappearance of Harry’s scar
Snape, Voldemort
No. There is some clues in Book 5 that do point out that he’s not evil. Dumbledore actually wanted & asked Snape to kill him…
“Harry, where’s your scar?”
Lupin! Harry!
Jol A.
Not evil because he could be forced by Dumbledore to kill him…so that Voldemort will trust Snape…
Harry no longer felt the throbbing of his scar.
Hermione and Ron (lovebirds)
April G.
NO because I’ an optimist
the only rembrandt of what did happen…his scar

Lupin & Tonks

Snape’s not evil. He spied for the good wizards as a deatheater.
…
Dumbledoor
Voldemort, of course.
